Here we go. All right, so this is the culmination of a

year of reading for us in a lot of ways. It's our best of 2023, our personal

best. And best Rebecca can mean any number of things at this point I've been

wrestling with what I wanted to shout out why I wanted to shout out it. Best versus Favorite versus Most Accomplished

versus whatever.

I kind of broke mine down into a few categories.

We haven't agreed on how many we're going to shout out somewhere between five ten or so

Rebecca. What did you do? What heuristic did you use? How are you feeling I used no real

Heuristic? Over the last couple years I've settled on a pretty stripped back version of the

spreadsheet I use just to track my reading primarily so that when we're doing

podcasts or when someone asks me for a book recommendation my mind doesn't go blank

and I forget every book I've ever read or that does happen but at least I have a tool

that I can reach for and over the last couple years I've noticed as I read something and

really like it I've just decided to highlight it so that over the course of the year I

end up with a bunch of highlights and then when it's time to do one of these

check-in shows or at the end of the year. I can go look at everything that I thought

might be a contender for Best Of and like some of those are on this list and then there are

a couple that I like maybe didn't think're going to make it to best of,
