Hello Heroes and welcome to the fifth year of the One Shot Podcast.

I'm James Damato, your host and GameMaster.

This bonus episode is the audio from our annual panel that we did at GenCon this year.

GenCon promotes itself as the best four days in gaming.

And because we get to do these panels there every year, it doesn't feel wrong.

I love doing our GenCon panels because it gives me an opportunity to learn more about the people that I work with.

I usually don't have time to have a real conversation with these folks except at conventions.

And at GenCon especially, the only time I really have to talk is when I'm in front of a microphone.

They of course also give me the opportunity to connect with all of you.

This last year at the network has been wild.

We've faced challenges both professional and private, and we've had so many amazing opportunities.

I say this about one shot a lot.

It's a dream job so wild that there's no way I could have come up with it

before actually doing it.

I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to do this.

I'm grateful not only to the people who support our network through Patreon,

but the folks who download the show and listen every week.

I'm grateful to the people that I get to collaborate with who

make such amazing shows that I listen to every week and I depend on to keep my sanity in these

trying times. I'm grateful for the friends and family who have supported me to get to this point.

The folks who when I doubt myself tell me to believe in what I'm doing and who I am.

I'm grateful to the game designers who have created these things that have captured my imagination and passion, that have inspired me to share that passion with everyone who will listen to me.
