Hello my friends and welcome back to the morning mindset. This is a bonus episode that I'm bringing to you here on New Year's Eve heading into 2024 and I have a special guest with me today.

So that you have time to gather some materials in order to do this tradition that we've done

for years if you would like to do that.

Now before we actually describe the tradition, I'm going to have

Mindy explain to you kind of the heart behind what it is we're going to describe.

We wanted to bring honor to the Lord at the end of the year.

We realized that many times people will have great New Year's Eve celebrations,

ending the last year, bringing in the new one and that can always be fun and exciting,

but we thought what a great way to celebrate the

New Year coming in by honoring the Lord in some way and I think the idea of

having New Year's resolutions kind of played into our idea of what we decided to do.

Yeah, and to describe the tradition for you, what we would do is take one central candle,

kind of like you would see in an advent service maybe, and we would

light that candle and that candle represents Jesus being the light of the world, being the light of life,

all the scriptural imagery that's surrounding light in Jesus, you know, we're trying to keep those in mind.
