So I think this would be a good point to move into talking about what's happening in Gaza.

By the time people listen to this show, we will have passed a two-month mark since the ceasefire went into effect.

And I sort of put ceasefire in air quotes. I want to get just your overall take. My impression at this point,

two months in, is that the situation, basically the people in Gaza, the Palestinians have been

asked to trade an overt genocide, ethnic cleansing,

whatever you want to call it,

for the figment of a ceasefire,

not a real ceasefire, because the attacks continue,

the figment of humanitarian aid,

not really a humanitarian aid,

we haven't seen the surge that was promised

under the ceasefire framework.

And all of that under this quasi-league of nations mandate

that's just overseeing, it seems like,

a slower, more gradual ethnic cleansing or genocide

rather than anything that might actually address

the root issues of the conflict.

So that's where I'm coming from. I would like to get your take.
