Lou Costello, half of the legendary duo of Abbott and Costello, was born March 6, 1906.

Today, the team is probably best known for their famous Who's On First routine, but that was just one of their celebrated sketches that made them household names and box office stars.

In honor of Costello's birthday, we'll hear a pair of episodes from the Abbot and

Costello radio show, beginning with a broadcast from NBC on January 25, 1945.

In this one, it's anchors away for Lou when he decides to join the Merchant Marines.

Then in an episode from April 5, 1945, Bud and Lou want to hire the Andrews sisters for an upcoming show. But to get to the

sisters ranch they need a set of wheels which leads to their classic Hertz

you drive routine.
