Hello, Dan. By now you may or may not have heard that the Mormon Church has just announced

a new policy that stipulates that children of same-sex couples may not be blessed in

the Church and may not be baptized until they've reached the age of 18 and are willing

to quote, disavowl any acceptance of their parents' lifestyle and receive approval from

the first presidency or highest governing body of the Church. I'm sure you'll want to look

into this and thoroughly smack it down as terrible, damaging, hateful, unnecessary, and just the worst.

As a Mormon myself, I am incredibly ashamed of this policy and cannot believe that they

would go to these lengths. Furthermore, they've recently, at the same time, amended the definition

of apostasy for which one can be excommunicated to include explicitly for individuals who have

entered into same gender marriages. The policy is just ridiculous. I mean, if you're the child

of a rapist, a murderer, a money-launderer, your kids can get baptized, but if your parents

have to be gay, you can't. It's the worst. I just want to formally voice my thoughts

as a Mormon that this is not good. Joining me to help answer this question, Ken Jennings,
