And in this episode, we will be covering multiple days because I am a bit behind on my recaps. I've been pretty busy working at our ice cream shop, Chris and Cates, but I have been loving it so much when listeners pull up in the drive-through and show me that they're listening to Mom and Mystery or even just acknowledge that they know who I am.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is May 5th and 6th and then all of last week.

in the episode summary. Without further ado, let's get into it.

In the second week of Karen Reid's murder trial or retrial, I should say, much of the drama

centered on testimony from Jennifer McCabe, who is a close friend who was with Karen Reed

on the morning that they discovered the body of Karen Reed's boyfriend, Boston police officer

John O'Keefe. Now, Jen McCabe is considered a key witness for the prosecution.

She was at the same after-party as John O'Keefe on the night of his death, and she joined Karen

Reed in the frantic early morning search that led to the grim discovery of his body in the snow.

Now, the defense, however, portrays Jen McCabe as something else entirely, the alleged quarterback

of a cover-up,

effectively accusing her of coordinating a false narrative to pin John O'Keefe's death on Karen

...
