So I played Dorothy in my nursery school production of the Wizard of Oz, igniting a lifelong

obsession with a classic story.

And until I chatted with a couple old hippie friends for this podcast. My main thoughts about Kansas, a state I've never

visited, were related to the Wizard of Oz and the universal truth that there's no place like home.

There's no place like home.

However, after hearing stories from my dad's old friend, Tall Joe,

and a friend who goes by the alias K-pot granddaughter.

My notion of Kansas has shifted.
