I had heard that you started off your career as a dancer.

Is that correct?

That is correct, yes, many years ago.

And in fact, I live in France, as you probably know.

My career as a dancer is what brought me to France to the south of France in a big city the second biggest in France called Marseille

which is a city with a bit of an edge to it even today

so that was quite exciting after about eight years of arduous training.

But my dancing career certainly put me in good stead for everything that I've ever done on film and television

because it gave me an ease with my body and my body in space, if you see what I mean, in front of the cameras.

So I don't think I, when I was a dancer, I didn't know I was going to become an actress,

even though it was my second love at the time.

But I was concentrating on being a dancer.

But little was I to know how much it would serve its purpose in front

of the cameras, certainly. So, yeah, it's all part of the story.

Now, did you move to France and then study there, or had you studied and then moved to France?
