Hey friends, Carrie here. Welcome back to a bonus episode of The Morning Mindset. I normally

0:10.9

would include these kinds of episodes only in the Partners Only membership podcast called

0:16.6

Digging Deeper. But this topic is so important. Just as a fundamental issue in the Christian

0:23.6

life that I thought I wanted to bring this bonus episode series to you, just here in the

0:29.2

Normal Morning Mindset feed, you'll be seeing a bonus episode show up every Wednesday for

0:34.8

the next seven weeks all about this topic of world view. Now to start off, let me just describe

0:43.2

to you a scenario that happened around my house where I was a kid. I was known in my family

0:48.5

for having particularly good vision. And I remember as a kid taking pride in it, because for

0:53.9

example, if my mom dropped one of her sewing needles on the living room carpet, she would

0:58.5

always call me to find it. And I would find it. It seemed like there was just this uncanny

1:03.8

ability for me to spot things and to pick them up, find them, restore them to their rightful

1:10.2

place, that sort of thing. I remember all the time my siblings dropping things, looking

1:15.0

for things, et cetera. They would call me in to help. And I would, it seems like inevitably

1:19.8

find it. My dad, who did not have the best ice height, was always asking me to read

1:25.5

signs for him when we were driving in the car so that he'd have enough time to change

1:30.0

lanes or prepare for a turn if needed. My great eyesight that I experienced as a child

1:36.7

continued into my adult years. And I remember the first time that my wife told me that without

1:42.9

her prescription glasses or contacts which she had worn for years, my face was just a blur

1:49.2

to her. It was shocking to me. I just simply couldn't imagine what life like that would

1:55.3

be like. And then I hit 40 years old. And overnight, my always perfect ice height was not

2:03.7

so perfect. On the first time I remember noticing it was when I was setting up for a worship

2:08.4

rehearsal at our church and I needed to plug in a cable to the back of the soundboard.
