But in regard to Luke 23, what did you got for us?

Awesome. Thank you, Emma.

There's so much in this passage and so much weight to this day.

Lots of things we could focus on in Luke 23 and then also in the other gospel accounts leading up to the cross.

But in sticking with Luke's account specifically, the thing that stands out to me the most is the repetition regarding Jesus' innocence all throughout this chapter.

It starts in verse 4, where Pilot for the

first time declares, I find no guilt in this man. And then again, in verse 14, he says again, after he's

examined Jesus, he says, after examining him before you, behold, I did not find this man guilty of any

of your charges against him.

He goes on to say that neither did Herod, because I've sent him to Herod, and Herod examined him,

and he sent him back to me as a declaration that he also didn't find any guilt in him.

And then he says, again, in 15, look, nothing deserving death has been done by him.

And then a final time in verse 22,

he declares again, why, what evil has he done? I have found no guilt deserving death. So Pilate,
