Summary

To celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th, and Women's History Month during all of March, we have a short message for you all. We couldn't possibly narrow down one or even 31 women to honor this month, so we'll keep honoring as many as we can, 12 months a year, just like we have been for the last 15 years. xo Susan and Beckett Find a woman to celebrate from our extensive catalog of podcasts on our website, thehistorychicks.com, or however you get your podcasts. Share this mini-episode with a friend, or, if you are so inspired, take a gander at our merch shop, and help support our work. Thank you! Learn more about your ad choices. create it. Now, this was decided we had to create it.

Here in the podcast world, we call it pre-serial, the podcast serial that really launched

1:04.7

the big boom of podcasting.

1:07.2

We predate that.

1:08.9

Also, not to put too fine a point on it, the ignorance is bliss department is also a very nice place to be. We had to enlist a friend at NASA to write our RSS feed, which is

1:31.4

basically the subscriber feed, how you could listen to our show from your phone or your computer.

1:38.3

Nowadays, you just push a button, create my RSS feed. But back then, I had to interrupt vital national security work and get someone

1:47.7

to adopt my side project for me. And really, that's what it was. It was a side project. It was

1:53.8

something that we thought would be not only fun for us to do, something different for us to do,

1:59.2

but it would give us an opportunity to look at people,
