And this is the very first episode of Generation M, a Ms. Marvel Recap podcast. Each week,

we'll be joined by co-hosts and guests to go deep on the various influences on Kamala Khan,

from South Asian Muslim history to comic books.

This episode will be discussing episode one of the Disney Plus TV show.

But first, we wanted to talk a little, you know, introduce ourselves and talk about why we're doing it, what the show is and what you can expect.

You know, I think I'll start from myself.

Like, I am somebody who has reported on American Muslims, has reported on TV and culture.

And I felt like this show, the Ms. Marvel TV show, was a great subject to go really deep on.

I happened to already know a lot about it and, like, thought about it a lot.

And I wanted to bring together some friends and experts also to talk about it.

I am a TV writer, and I have written four fantastical stories before,

and Miss Marvel was my first ever comic book back when it first launched,

and it feels like a great full circle moment to be here talking about it.
