I wanted the high-speed rail, Trump rail across New York to LA and you know whatever like a day.

That's all he had to do right was like do a two trillion dollar plan to build Wi-Fi and the rural areas electrification of

the of the deserts or whatever you know and like and I thought that's you know that was

what the Trumpists thought was gonna happen right like these people who were like well he's kind of like a total

asshole but you know there's this kind of rational kernel there which is like

rebuild American industry rebuild infrastructure you know welfare for whites or whatever.

Right, and that was possible because Trump

was a sort of Reddit candidate that could go in there

and like break shit.

You know, there was this.

They figured there was the stasis in Washington they were like

the duopoly of the two parties Republicans and Democrats and you needed a

figure like Trump who just didn't give a fuck to go in there and break stuff

and that presumably then he was going to be able to bust through this sort of impasse that we were talking about before.

It didn't happen.

That was understandable.

That he, in some sense, he would have been been I mean he the thing is about

Trump I mean it's something like I this is kind of an impasse in my analysis of

Trump because I just think he's like this mentally ill guy or whatever like this weird clown who we spent you know

years trying to analyze the kind of strategic you whatever, like implications of this or that statement or

position or whatever or tried to understand what kind of governing philosophy was behind

this or that. And I just think that he was this totally mad character, right?
