Hey, it's Michelle Parisi. A lot's happened since you last heard from me.

That's an understatement, I know.

Right now, I'm coming to you from behind a stack of pillows.

Instead of the studio, I'd normally record in.

Like a lot of you, I've spent the past six weeks at home.

In a Loan of Love story, I talked a lot about isolation, loneliness, the hunger for touch.

Themes that are all too real for almost all of us these days.

Now, most of our human connection is through screens, which is great, but not quite the same thing.

When life is turned upside down overnight, it's amazing the ways we cope.

That was the point I was making when I wrote a Loan of Love story.

I wanted to say out loud that it's a pay to grieve, that unspecified feeling we have when

beyond our control, things change, that's grief. Right now, we're collectively in our own ways,

grieving the life we once had. And we also have this anticipatory grief, not knowing how long

things will be as they are, or what they'll be in the future.
