Summary
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect” (Romans 12:2 NLT)
On top of these difficult conversations, our kids are growing up in a world that increasingly values individual truth over God’s truth; a world where everyone is encouraged to “live their truth.” But, the Bible tells the story of God’s plan for his people; and as believers, we should use it to shape the way we see and interact with the world. That will often look different than other people around us.
These changes in our world can make us feel really unprepared and afraid of the future. But, remember we serve a sovereign God who is always in control! He loves our kids even more than we do. We are not powerless as parents—we have the Holy Spirit in us. We can ask him to prompt our kids' hearts and we can commit to praying for them to treasure the Bible and find a true worldview and identity in Christ!
This week, let’s pray that our kids live out a biblical worldview. In other words, let’s ask God to help them know the gospel, love the gospel, and that their lives would be completely changed by it!
Dear God, help my child to hate sin and live a life of standing out and following you. Help them to find out what pleases you (Ephesians 5:10) and commit to following you wholeheartedly. Help them to love your word, hide your word in their heart, and let your word shape the way they live. Amen.
Sadie Robertson Huff’s message on “your truth.”

| 0:17.6 | I'm your host, Courtney Defeo, and we are praying together every Monday through the school year. And this week is week 26. We're in the follow section of our journal. |
| 0:26.0 | So if you're new here, we have got a journal by Christian parenting called A Life of Faith, |
| 0:30.2 | and we've been praying through that all school year long. And we're on week 26, which |
| 0:35.1 | finds itself in the follow section. And the title is a |
| 0:39.0 | biblical worldview. And so part of following Jesus is saying, I'm going to have a lens that I |
| 0:44.6 | look through the world and see what that means. Like, what does the Bible say about the current |
| 0:49.7 | world and how I interact with it and really a framework for interpreting the world? And doesn't |
| 0:54.0 | that sound so smart? You know where I for interpreting the world. And doesn't that |
| 0:54.2 | sound so smart? You know where I got it? AI. And so I need to pause and say that, you know, I did |
| 0:59.4 | go to Google because I'm like, I know what a biblical worldview is, but how do you explain that in a way |
| 1:03.6 | that we all go, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. So biblical worldview, back to AI, I did look it up, and it's basically how we look at the world based on the Bible, which can be |
| 1:11.9 | difficult these days. And you know the old image that you've probably seen? You can search it on |
| 1:16.6 | the old internet, but it's an image of like all the fish going downstream and one fish |
| 1:21.3 | going upstream. And it feels really difficult. And depending on what friend group they're in |
| 1:27.2 | or what city they live in, even sometimes in the northeast, they can feel like the only person following Jesus. |
| 1:32.8 | Or maybe at their school, they're the only person at the lunch table that actually believe Jesus walked on this earth or that the Bible is true. |
| 1:39.3 | And that can be really difficult. |
| 1:41.3 | And so we just need to recognize that for our kids. |
