Hello everyone and happy Christmas.

And yes, we are still in Christmas Tide,

and I wanted to use that as an excuse to sneak in an episode of the podcast that I was on this Christmas

before we begin the after hours episodes for this month.

When I was on the CSLO's podcast, I spoke about Lewis's discussion of Christmas in his various works,

and I really focused on an essay that he wrote called What Christmas Means to Me.

And I didn't mention a companion essay to that called Exmas and Christmas,

which expresses many of the similar ideas, but puts it in fiction.

Lewis fakes a lost chapter of Herodotus, where he expresses the tension between two celebrations, two festivals in the island of

Neaturb, one that looks an awful lot like the religious celebration of Christmas and one

which is much more about the Christmas rush.

Anyway, I was on the Fantastic Truth podcast from Law Haven to speak about that Exmyss

and Christmas essay, and we also talked a little bit about Tolkien's letters from Father

Christmas.

So, just to tide you over until the After Hours episodes kick in, here is my appearance
