Hey there and welcome back to the Forgotten podcast and a very Merry Christmas to you.

Today, I simply want to share some encouragement with you on this day after Christmas.

But quickly, before I do that, I want to let you know of some exciting news regarding

this show. We have been releasing episodes biweekly for over six years now and have heard

countless testimonies of how the stories we share here have impacted you. It is a privilege to be

in the space together.

And starting next week, the Forgotten podcast will be a weekly show.

2023 is going to be filled with twice the amount of awareness,

encouragement, and advocacy as we share the stories of the foster care community.

I hope you are excited because we definitely are.

Now, even with Christmas morning already in our rearview mirrors, I love, love, love, love this time of year.

Not only because of the holiday traditions, the smell of candles, our Christmas tree, and freshly baked pies in the oven, Oh my goodness. My love for this time of year

is also not only because of the sounds of Christmas music that fills my home starting in October,

the crackling of the fire, or the old handmade by kids Christmas ornaments on the tree. But I love this time of year because

it always makes me reflective. And as I reflect, I can't help but see the goodness and the

faithfulness of God. What about you? How has God grown you this year? How has he shown himself faithful? I'm not sure what your year

has looked like or what's in store for next. Of course, none of us know this. What I do know is that

Christmas is good for the soul, reminding us each year of the goodness and kindness of our God,

how he made a way for redemption.

Galatians 4-5 tells us of his love and care.
