Leah hosts Everyday Better. It's a podcast we love around here and Leah is a friend.

This month she is featuring Black Voices who Inspire Excellence. It's a four-part series and in the series Leah interviews three women about their

own journey toward excellence. Their inspirations, their guidance, the things they

have learned along the way as they chase their own versions of

excellence, well that fourth part in that series.

Okay, here's Leah.

You are not going to be perfectly prepared for whatever surprise it is you receive in your career, in your life, whatever it is, it's impossible.

But what is possible is to have the tools that you can use on a regular basis.

And I always think of it as if I'm a boomerang, do I always come back to center?

I may go far out.

I might go down to the trenches, but no matter what, I always know where I'm coming back to.

So that's the most important thing is you're on this career journey and life journey is can you set yourself up and set the conditions so that you can continue to thrive even when life throws curve balls your way and that you have the right tools to do that.
