to talk about something completely different today.

Over on the YouTube channel, a while back, I did a video dealing with a historical question

of the identity of Darius the Meade, a character mentioned in Daniel, more on that in just a

second.

I asked for your opinions on the identity of Darius the Meade and in this conversation,

I want to look at some of your responses as promised.

But first, just to get everybody back up to speed, let me set up the problem and lay that

out again so we know what we're talking about here.

So for those of you who didn't watch the video, the super quick version is that in the

middle of Daniel, the city of Babylon flips from being owned by the Babylonians to being

owned by the Persians or the Meadow Persian Empire.

Cyrus the Great topples the Babylonian Empire and city controlled by a dude named Nabonitis.

And the text records that is happening all in one night while a big bank, what is happening

with Bell Shazzar who was ruling Babylon itself while his dad, Nabonitis was ruling the

large area.
