Hi everyone it is whole 30 day 19 it is Friday yeah Friday it's June 2nd

0:07.1

this week felt really short which it was short because it was a memorial day but

0:11.8

always nice when that happens. I think

0:14.3

today's update is probably going to be pretty short. I don't have a ton to say that

0:18.1

we haven't already covered. I think one thing I do really want to clarify is that

0:22.3

you know I know that most people who are listening to this know the parameters of the whole 30 and the concepts of the whole 30 and the fact that you know it very it's very clear within the program and Joy and I have tried to make it very clear that this is not something that you do long term unless you have a serious underlying health condition that requires you to cut out these food groups or

0:44.7

they not food groups but these you know food types indefinitely you know for us

0:49.2

this has just been about learning for me it's been about learning, you know, what foods may contribute to

0:54.5

migraines, what foods might contribute to gut malfunction, for a lack of a

0:59.2

better word, and for joy it's been about supporting me and then also about just you know kind of figuring out more data in our

1:07.8

constant quest to learn the best way to fuel our bodies but

1:15.4

by no means does this mean that we don't think that it's healthy to ever eat gluten or ever eat dairy or ever eat sugar.

1:20.1

You know I don't think that's what we're trying to say or do at all.

1:24.1

I think in fact it's kind of the opposite of realizing that like this isn't a way that

1:28.0

you are supposed to eat all the time and if it was you would you know have a very probably end up having a lot of stress in your life revolving around food.

1:39.6

You know, and even the whole 30 creators are very specific about, like unless you have an underlying health condition,

1:44.1

this is not something that is meant to be done

1:47.1

for more than 30 days at a time.

1:49.3

So I just wanted to clarify that because you know we have gotten some folks who have

1:54.1

kind of wondered about the healthfulness of eating this way long term and the answer is

1:59.1

like this is just so more data I know Joy talked about this in a previous check-in or was like you guys are

2:04.7

literally just listening to us in real time go through this. You know the conclusions that
