with a screenwriting buddy of mine. This was a movie, a biopic, not about a rock star, but

nonetheless about a legend. Someone that my buddy and I, but mainly my buddy, not me,

had put all the pieces together for,

including meeting with and working with this legend's family multiple times. It was all

quite heady. And for the first six months or so, it was difficult, but nothing seemed too

hard and certainly nothing about the project seemed impossible, despite, you know, the people we were

working with and who we were writing this screenplay about. This, however, as they say, would not last.

The project, like most film projects, crashed and burned. I was just about to say crashed

and burned for reasons that were beyond my control. But if I'm being

honest, some of those reasons were within my control. If only I had the insane drive that it takes
