of an MSNBC series that's near and dear to my heart called The Culture Is. Each episode

of the four part series celebrates women of color through honest and thought-provoking

conversations about their lived experiences. You might remember my friend and colleague

Tiffany Cross and I hosted the first edition. The culture is Black women back in June.

Latinas are not a monolith yet. There's something inherently Latina about every single one

of us. People think we kind of understand why our team goes down. You have no idea. Do

We were taught to be grateful. Yes, and quiet. It's still be grateful. We just don't have

to cry.
