This is a song versus song bonus episode.

Every year, for some reason, misplaced nostalgia is my best theory.

We watch the MTV Video Music Awards and report on them to you. And we need to

start seriously talking about not doing this anymore. My God. Yeah, I don't, I feel like we say it

every year. I also can't tell whether or not this one was actually,

because, you know, there's always a length of time, approximately a year between each recording.

So like how bad this actually is compared to other years, it feels worse. Do you feel worse to you?

It did. It really did. But like I, I mean, last year was like the weird Johnny Depp one.

Oh, yeah, that was, that was very strange.

I had completely forgotten about the Johnny Depp thing.

Johnny Depp was a moon man.

And by that, I mean, they cast his face on the windshield.

Yeah, he was a haunt.

But he wasn't actually there.

He was a haunting specter

over the award show. But that was something that happened. This one, well, you know, you can't

say nothing happened on this one because, boy, a lot of things happened. A lot of things

that I would say went over the time. I would say that by a good hour.

So it was supposed to end. It started at 8 o'clock. I was supposed to end at 11.15.
