Hey guys, I'm Dave Ramsey. Welcome to our free live stream student loan debt in America.

How we got here and how we get out. I'm standing on the debt free stage here in the

headquarters of Ramsey Solutions and we have noticed like you have that a financial tsunami

is about to sweep this nation. We have federal student loan debt, our student loan debt in total of

about 1.7 trillion dollars in America right now. 44 million of you have this student loan debt

and it's coming at you like a train right now. Interest started up September 1, payments will start

October 1. I average student loan being almost 40,000 dollars a person.

In the midst of this over the last three years a couple of different presidential administrations

have given you the ability to kick the can down the road and then they've made a series of false

promises about student loan forgiveness and well the results are in. It's not coming.

So what are we going to do now? Payments are going to restart and everybody's going to be impacted.

People are scared. Some of you are really confused and some of you are angry. You expected the

forgiveness to come and now it's not there but either way we've got this reality of October the

first staring at you and you kind of having an old crap moment. What am I going to do now?

I got to get an extra job. I got to get five extra jobs. How are we going to make this work?
