This is David Mandel at O'Hell. We thank everyone for joining us this evening on a very important

discussion, reimagining perinatal loss sponsored by O'Hill's Zach the Family National Trauma

Center. Before introducing the discussion and our illustrious panelists, I would like to thank my colleagues,

CIVI, writer, director at O'HEL of the National Trauma Center, the Zach Family National Trauma Center and Children's Services,

Let's begin with a definition.

What is perinatal loss?

It is commonly defined as loss of an infant through death via unintended or involuntary loss of pregnancy by miscarriage,

early loss generally less than 20 weeks, stillbirth or neonatal loss, newborn through 28 days of life.

Perianatal loss may also result in some women, wives, mothers, and of course affecting husbands

and children in secondary infatility.

So we will discuss in detail perinatal loss.

We will also touch on secondary infertility.
