Summary
In November of 2018, I gave a talk at the Harvard Divinity School as part of the Sound Education Conference. The talk was an overview of the history of English called “Regarding English.” The final version of the speech was edited for time, so I have recorded the original version of the speech with the parts that were left out. Enjoy!

| 0:23.6 | As I've noted recently, I had the opportunity to take part in that conference back in early |

| 1:06.2 | talk could also serve as a mini podcast episode. |
| 1:10.3 | So that was the way I approached it. |
| 1:12.5 | I prepared some remarks that were really intended as a bonus episode, and my plan was to post |
| 1:17.9 | the audio when I returned. |
| 1:19.9 | However, there were so many speakers and so many panels and presentations that it's |
| 1:24.9 | going to take the organizers several weeks to have all of the audio ready to post. |
| 1:29.9 | It should be available sometime early next year, but since my remarks were really structured |
| 1:34.8 | as a distinct episode, I decided to just go back and record my remarks and release it |
| 1:40.4 | as this bonus episode. |
| 1:43.2 | We were also asked to keep the presentation down to about 20 or 25 minutes, so I cut out |
