Hello everyone, and welcome to the Stephen King's

One Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King.

Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King in the chronological order of publication. And this week, well not necessarily this week,

but this particular episode, I will be giving you a bonus episode because there has been

some big news in the world of Stephen King that I think that I, you know,

think that you guys might want to talk about a little bit.

So I figured that I would dive in and talk about the Dark Tower film adaptation.

So a few weeks ago, for those of you who may not know, a few weeks ago, Matthew McConaughey was attached to the project.

Now, before I had talked about how Matthew McConaughey had been attached to the stand.

And in a recent episode, I think I talked about how unsure I was of the stand adaptation actually happening because from what I remember, I don't think that it was ever official that Matthew McConaughey was going to star as Randall Flagg.

I think that it was just speculation that he was in the running that Warner Brothers had reached out to him

that he had been offered the role.

But from what I remember, I don't think that he actually ever took it.

Now reports are stating that he had been offered the role of, well, I've heard, I've read mixed reports here.

So one report was that he was offered the role of Roland, and he was interested in playing

Walter.

And other reports are stating that he was just given the script with the opportunity to choose
