Like the rest of the world, I was so devastated at the conclusion of Shabbas to learn of the passing of Chief Rabbi

Lord Jonathan Sacks, Zechid Tzhak Levraha, Haraviyakow, Tzu, bin David Ari.

Somebody is so irreplaceable.

You see, there are brilliant people, there are menschelich people, there are those that are admired in the Jewish world and those who are revered by the theologians from outside our faith. There are those you want to read everything

they write and there are others who you want to listen each time they speak. There are those who

are experts in Torah and others accomplished in secular knowledge and wisdom. There are not few,

but there is no one who combines all of that the way Rabbi Sachs did.

You know, we're reading now about Avraham, Avinoa, our great patriarch Abraham,

and the role he played among the nations of the world, introducing the world to the values

of ethical monotheism.

And I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Rabbi Sachs very much followed in Avram's

footsteps so authentically

and so articulately bringing our sacred Torah's timeless values to the masses to Jew and non-Jew alike.

Who can take his place? He will so sorely be missed the world. We are so bereft of the books.

He was yet to write the talks. He had yet to give the interviews he had left to have. Rabbi Sachs' brilliance, I think, was only surpassed by his character.

He was such a mensch. He was such an example of kindness, of graciousness, of dignity.

We had the great privilege of hosting him several times in Boka,

and I have to say when the lights and the camera and the microphone were off, he was as genuine

and real and kind and brilliant as when they were on. When you saw him behind the scenes as when

you were even more or most impressed with him. Bissax was naturally introvert, but he overcame that, to be there for people, to connect with people.

So many felt so important to him because that's how he made them, it's how he made us feel.

I'll never forget how when I and our shul were once slandered and attacked falsely. There was a moment that was in a lot of pain
