Hello everyone and welcome to the Stephen King cast, one Man's Musings on the Works of Stephen King.

Each week I'll review one entry in the bibliography of Stephen King and the chronological order of publication.

But today, in the spirit of the holidays, I'm giving out this very special bonus episode of Joe Hill's 2013 Yule Tide Thrill Ride, the Christmas-themed

horror spectacular Nosphoratu.

Now for those of you who don't know, Joe Hill is Stephen King's son, the author of the

short story collection 20th century ghost, the rocking road trip heart-shaped box, the

tragically beautiful and beautifully tragic horns,

the generationally magic lock and key.

This novel, Nospheratu,

marks the second bonus episode for a Joe Hill novel,

the first being my two-part review of horns,

which you can find here at the Stephen Kingcast.

Now, just in terms of Joe Hill, I would just say that Horns is my favorite.

I think that what he does in terms of character and tone is absolutely unbelievable.

If you haven't read it, please do so.

If you have read it and haven't listened to the review, feel free to check it out.

But he started off in terms of novels with Heart-shaped Box, which is a great first entry in terms of putting out a novel out there.

I think that it has great appeal for mass audiences, or at least for

audiences of the horror genre. But I think that when it comes to just great writing, I think that

his collection of short stories with 20th century ghosts is where it's at.
