as well as the Brian Kilmead show on the radio, but what you may not know about Mr Kilmeade

is he loves history.

And I had the opportunity he has written.

His most recent book is called Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers.

So here's someone of national prominence who is a passionate historian but did not grow up in Texas writing about Texas history so I could not pass up the

opportunity to find out what that's all about and why the story of Sam Houston and Texas independence appealed so much to someone

from outside Texas. During the interview you're going to hear Mr Kilmee talk about

his passion for history and his passion for Texas and the spirit of Texas and how he feels like that the rest of the country can learn something from that.

You'll also hear Mr Kilmee discuss some of his favorite

historical stories and how important he feels it is to do his part to communicate

history to the country through his books and of course that's one of the reasons
