Orrin, what are we talking about today?

We are talking about reading and understanding scripture.

That's what I was told at least.

Yeah, you're right.

Good. I'm just making sure we're on the same page. Before we dive in, I think the people need to get to know you a little bit.

You just moved to Dallas this year. Yep. You've got three kittos and a wife? That's true.

You love them? Yeah, moved here three months ago from Louisville, Kentucky, where I've been for the last 18 years teaching for the last

10 years at Southern Seminary. And we moved here to do what I love, which is help people know God

through understanding his word in a local church. So we're super thankful. Perfect. So you're the

perfect guy to be here today. Well, I don't know about that. Yeah, yeah. You know,

you're the perfect guy because you're who God brought into the doors into the studio. So we're

talking about studying the Bible. What does good Bible study look like? Yeah, great question. I thought about

one thing that helps me when I approach Scripture

is just to ask myself and remind myself,

what am I doing when I'm reading Scripture?

What's happening in the event where I sit down and open God's word?
