Hello and welcome to a bonus episode of Hey Do You Remember?

I'm Chris, and this is a show where we usually

reminisce about a movie or TV series we grew up with, then take off the rose-tinted glasses to see how

it holds up. And, well, we'll sort of be doing that today in a way, because it's going to be

impossible to talk about the brand new Halloween movie without having a broader discussion about the

franchise at large. It's been 11 years since Michael Myers was on the big screen, 40 years since the

film this is a direct sequel to, and it's at least the third time the continuity of this series

has been reset. It's a lot to unpack, but fortunately, I don't have to do it alone.

Now, a lot of our long-time

listeners are probably aware that my usual co-hosts, Donna and Carlos, aren't really into horror

movies, but it's been so long since we've done a bonus episode for this holiday. It's been even

longer since there was a movie I was this excited to talk about. Even still, it was a lot to ask

them to pay money to see a film they weren't interested in and come over to record on one of our off weeks on top of that.

So instead, I made these two do it.
