We are gearing up here in Thomasville for our annual one book celebration where our entire

community reads one book together.

This year, our one book selection is We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter.

And if you have known me or followed this podcast for any period of time, you will know I

adored we were the lucky ones when I first read it a couple of years ago.

The book is now out in paperback and it has become a bestseller not only on the New York

Times list, but closer to home.

It was one of our best selling books at the bookshelf in 2016 and again in 2017.

We love this book and so it was an honor

to get to talk with Georgia Hunter about the book,

about her writing process, about hope and human connection,

and coming to Thomasville for one book.

of education auditorium on thursday october fourth um tickets go on sale online on september 20th so i'll
