Summary

On January 26, 2011, 27-year-old Ellen Greenberg left work early due to an unexpected nor’easter that was descending upon Philadelphia, where she lived. Before the day's end, Ellen would be found deceased in her apartment, from an apparent suicide. Or was it? To this day, Ellen’s case has sparked controversy among experts, the public, and especially The Greenberg family, who believed Ellen could not have taken her own life, especially considering the violent and horrific way she died. Now, thankfully, after so many years, Ellen's family will get the opportunity to argument their side over her manner of death ruling. What's up you guys? I'm Andrea and I'm Haley and you're listening to Inhuman a true crime

0:08.0

podcast. So, Okay, so today we are doing something that we've never done before and we are releasing a case that was originally published to our patrons on

0:38.0

Patreon and I know that there may be some contention about having some cases that we cover behind a paywall.

0:48.6

But I just wanted to touch on the fact that we do typically only share cases that are solved on our

0:54.6

Patreon and that our Patreon was requested by our listeners. That's the reason why we started

0:59.8

it once upon a time but given the subject matter around this case and the fact that there is a

1:09.2

what I believe a pretty major update yeah we decided that we wanted to share it with all of our

1:15.2

listeners because this case technically was closed but as you'll see once we

1:22.4

get into it it definitely should not have been.

1:26.0

And I kind of realized that during and at the end of my research.

1:31.0

So today, I wanted to go ahead. No go ahead. Which is why you originally like

1:37.0

covered it on Patreon because you were like oh it's closed and that's done.

1:44.5

And then as you were researching, you realized,

1:46.3

oh, maybe it's not so closed.

1:48.5

But at that point.

1:50.1

Definitely not.

1:51.9

Yeah, and I agree and I feel like yeah, I honestly do not remember what I said during the

2:00.4

episode that we were you made.

2:02.4

Yeah, we were in agreement that there was no

2:05.7

possible physical way in our minds and our opinions that

2:10.8

Ellen Greenberg took her own life.

2:14.0

Yeah, I don't think so either.
