Today we're going to talk about Jamar Chase's recovery as he's dealing with what's reported

to be a hip fracture as of Thursday night when we're having this conversation.

And the additional reporting that gives us some degree of specificity is that there's no surgery

And from a medical point of view, Dr. Bowers, what does that tell you about this injury for Jemar Chase?

Now, when it comes to the non-surgical diagnosis here early on, it gives him some clearance

that this isn't a significant emergency type situation.

When you sustain a pretty significant fracture to the hip or you get a displaced fracture of

the hip, he's in the OR tomorrow to address the issue.

You don't want to develop what we call avascular necrosis, which is death of the bone, is a pretty sticky situation.

And you're also dealing with some vascular, so your femoral artery is in that area.
