Black exploitation is the results of a couple of different things that are happening.

One in the United States, the country is going through an economic recession.

And that matters because there isn't a ton of money in the film industry.

So you have this sort of scenario where the studios, they don't have money to make like the big budget type of films

that they would have done in the past. There's no budget for stuff like that.

And so what they do is they start outsourcing a lot of their labor.

That's why a lot of the films, including a lot of Pam Greer's stuff,

it's like it's shot in the Philippines, right? It's shot somewhere that's not here.

So the outsource a lot of labor, they take shots on directors and actors that they wouldn't have given a shot to before.

The other thing is that you have white flight happening.
