As you are well aware, I've been covering the ditty trial since day one. I think we're on, is it day 23, day 24?

I haven't even looked at the testimony from today, Monday. 5 p.m. is when I'm recording this opening. I've spent a lot of time talking about what's RICO and what's not RICO. I've referred back to the grand jury indictment. I told you what I've read or watched other lawyers say to get a sense of the trial. And I thought, you know what, I should

probably, like, actually talk to a lawyer at some point. Funny enough, I was trying to figure out

who to interview. I had my feelers out to a few people. And one of my friends hit me out the blue.

And I was like, hey, what you're doing? So the friend that reached out is Kim Fox. If you live in the Chicago land area, then you know

exactly who she is. If you follow the R. Kelly trial or the Jesse Smollett debacle, then you know

who Kim Fox is. Her official title is, well, now, the former Cook County State's Attorney.

She is the first black woman to lead that state's attorney's office, which is also the second largest prosecutor's office in the country.

So you can imagine that she has really, really good insight when it comes to high-level prosecutions.

So I asked Kim if she would come on the podcast, because I ask everyone.

I reach out to all sorts of people, and some of them tell me yes and some of them tell me no.

A lot of people are afraid to speak, especially those in the music industry or even music industry

adjacent, even if they haven't worked in the industry for years and years and years.

But I asked Kim, and she was like, sure, what do you want to know? And I was like, I want to know

everything. Every major legal question that I've had about this case thus far, I asked Kim and she answered.
