Hey gang and welcome to another episode of Short Stories for Kids.

So today we have a story request and it comes from Julia and she said, can you write

a story about a dinosaur who befriends a kitty cat?

Okay, well we hope you enjoy the story Julia and everybody else that's listening.

Here goes!

Davey was a diplodocus. He was only one year old, so was still quite small. Well, for a dinosaur

that is, he lived out in the mountains with his family. It was incredible where he lived.

The mountains were tall and beautiful, covered in lush greenery and trees.

Davey loved more than anything to go exploring every day around the mountains and the caves.

The sad thing was that Davey was always a little lonely. He had his mom and dad and older sister

Julia, but she was always out at dino school and hanging out with her friends so she didn't have

much time to play with Davey. So Davey would go out exploring every day on his own. He really

wanted a special friend and his mom told him he would have lots of friends when he started dino

school, but that was a whole year away. Davey wanted someone to play with now.

Well, something that Davey's mom and dad had warned Davey about whenever he went on his long

tracks through the mountains was to be extra extra careful at volcanoes. Sometimes they just exploded

into the air out of nowhere and they were really hot and dangerous. So every time Davey went out

exploring, his mom would say, now Davey, watch out for those volcanoes. Be really extra careful.

And if you see one, you must run all the way back home. Okay, okay mom, you always see the same

thing and I'm always careful. I know, said his mom, but just promise me, I promise mom said Davey

and he plutted off into the distance on his walk while his mother watched him go feeling a little

worried, but she knew he was a good dinosaur and would always listen to what she told him.
