All right, well, uh, hello world. Welcome to a very special edition of subpar. Colt knows

0:17.3

Drew Stoltz reacting to what has been a wild day in the game of golf. The PGA tour, the

0:23.2

DP world tour and the live tour have decided to merge with slays. I don't even know where

0:29.3

to begin with this thing crazy. All in one sentence go. Uh, you just can't. I don't

0:35.7

know. I still, you know, the news is wild. I feel like live thinks it's obviously a huge

0:40.2

victory for them, which in some aspects it probably is. I don't know where we're going

0:45.8

for me because we don't know what the schedule is going to be. We don't know how live players

0:50.2

are getting access back to the PGA tour. All we know is that the PIF has decided to join

0:55.5

forces with the PGA tour and basically it's up more of a partnership than a merger. But

1:00.2

um, that was some crazy news to wake up to this morning. This is not a podcast I expected

1:04.3

to be doing, uh, yesterday when we left the studio. I will say this is there's, we're

1:08.6

going to get into a lot of the aspects here on this little breakdown. But my reaction

1:12.7

first of all, when I first heard this, but beyond the shock was one, this is good for

1:17.8

the golf fans. When the, when live first came about and finally the PGA tour had some

1:22.3

competition that took some of the stars away from the game of golf. I was like, they

1:26.2

only people losing here are the fans. The players on live are getting paid. The players

1:29.9

on the PGA tour, as you've seen with everything they've done, got way more money. All the

1:33.4

guys playing that we love watching are benefiting from this financially, right? The only people

1:38.2

that lost are the fans. We don't get to see them play against each other as often as

1:41.7

we were like. The second thing that came to mind for me was I think the PGA tour leadership

1:47.8

comes off looking very poor in this entire situation. If you look at it from the day that

1:53.0

live was announced, it was like, okay, we're coming. We're going to have limited fields.
