Manson as a musician is something that either gets overlooked or at best is giving passing attention or is laughed

off and for good reason. Charles Manson wasn't that great of a musician. That was clear. But music,

more specifically his attempts at a career of music, are at the very heart of the story of the murders

of Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Vojtek Frykowski, Stephen Parent, Rosemary, and Lino

La Bianca, and even Gary Hellman. We think of Manson as a murderer, a cult leader, even a serial

killer, but not as a musician, like I said. Why, or why not, when music was clearly at the center
