Summary

When crisp fall air strikes, you know that the BABAT conference is about to get underway. This year, we celebrate New England's coolest conference for behavior analysts by talking with some of the students featured at the evening poster session. Then, to honor the last BABAT held at scenic UMass Amherst, we gather some dear friends around two pounds of chicken wings to reminisce on some of our favorite memories.

Hey everybody. Welcome to ABA Inside Tracks bonus episode, as we've done for the past two years. With no exception, we are doing another Babbitt special.

0:24.3

Yes, all of us here at ABA Inside Track are huge fans of the Babit conference held usually at

0:30.8

UMass Amherst, though, unfortunately, and fortunately, this is going to be the last year that the

0:36.4

conference is held at UMass Amherston

0:38.4

Picturesque Western Massachusetts. From now on, we're all going to be meeting in Worcester,

0:43.8

Massachusetts, which is great for us in terms of travel, because it's not that far away.

0:47.8

But anyway, that's beside the point. We decided to do what we did last year, which was take

0:53.1

some time after all of the talks and the speakers to meet with some of the students exhibiting posters at the Babbat poster session.

1:01.5

And many of them were very gracious to take some time to talk with us.

1:05.2

We didn't have a chance to talk to everybody, certainly, but there were lots and lots of really cool research out there.

1:09.9

But we wanted to share

1:10.8

the audio from those who were able to talk with us for a little bit. And then we have a little treat.

1:17.9

We think it'll be a treat. It was a treat for us recording some of our colleagues and us

1:21.9

hanging out and sort of reminiscing about what it's been like to be here at Babbitt and some of the things that we saw at the conference and some of our favorite conference memories.

1:31.3

But let's get started with our poster sessions, shall we?

1:37.0

Our first student poster was from Nicole Lanaris, who together with Dracably, Shea, Williams, Winship, and Spencer from Eastern Connecticut State

1:45.8

University, put together a poster on a descriptive assessment of activity-based variation in preschool

1:51.5

children.

1:52.0

Hi, I'm talking to Nicole Lanars about her work on a descriptive assessment of activity-based

1:58.0

variation with preschoolers.

2:00.1

So, Nicole, thanks for talking with us.

2:01.6

Can you tell us a little bit about your work?
