Hey, thank you. I've been a long time listener to your podcast, so it was a great thrill to get the invitation.

And as I was telling you just before we were recording, just for people know, like, I still remember, I think it was like an advanced course in theology of Revelation or something like that.

That we read a lot of, when it was one of your books books i'm trying to remember which one it was but i remember

like our prof gave us one of your books for for one of our classes and uh it was it's like i've

known who you are for a long time so when i got an email from your wife i think it was last year just

thanking us for the podcast i'm like wait what so it's uh and then and then you started your blog and then

we've been keeping in touch as best as I can.

Sometimes I'm sometimes horrible with my email.

Oh, I am too.

I am too.

It's just like it's terrible.

It's overwhelming sometimes.

So, you know, why don't we start off just for those who don't know who you are, what your life, a bit of your life story is and what you're doing now. It might be helpful for those who might not know who you are, what your life, a bit of your life story is and what you're doing now.

Very briefly, I was born in the great Cornhusker state of Nebraska.

I was raised in Lincoln, Nebraska.

And, you know, a very blue-collar boy, my dad was a fireman and all that kind of stuff.

So a very Midwestern blue-collar heart heart and soul which is probably why I was a

halfway decent teacher of undergraduates because you know there's there's not an elitist bone in

my body and that's the way I was raised I eventually went to seminary it was in seminary for seven
