Hello and welcome to Bonus episode number 70 of the Culeps English podcast. How is it going?

0:06.9

I am your host Andrew and it's fantastic to be here with you for another English study session. I'm so glad that you could join me.

I'm recording this episode right now. It is 7.40 in the evening and I'm usually not an evening podcast recorder to be honest with you guys I usually do most of the recording for

0:29.3

Q loops in the morning whenever possible unless I'm recording with one of my co-hosts and I need to change my schedule a little bit to match their schedule but for the most part I usually try to record QLips earlier in the morning. So this is a little bit of a change for me and I've had a really long day and a long weekend in general as

0:51.4

longtime listeners of the show will know very well, I'm Canadian, but I currently

0:57.3

live in South Korea. And here in Korea, this past weekend we had one of the major Korean holidays which is called Chusok and in a nutshell Chusok is just an autumn harvest festival and it happens for three days. It's a three day holiday, but here in Korea it's kind of nice for this Chusoc for this year at least. It connects into some other holidays as well. So most people in

1:26.2

Korea actually get a six day holiday this week so it's quite nice and I'm right in the

1:32.3

middle of those six days now but to celebrate Chusok my wife and I had her family over to the house today

1:39.8

so that was her brother and her sister-in-law and their two kids plus my in-laws my wife's parents

1:47.8

So including my wife and including me that means there were eight people total and everybody came over for lunch and

1:56.0

my wife and I did our best to cook a delicious meal to be honest we also ordered a little bit of food as well because our kitchen is a little bit small

2:06.0

so we did I'd say three fourths of the cooking ourselves and then we ordered the other 25% of the food and yeah it was awesome to have

2:17.2

everybody over to our house this was the first time that we had a big family

2:22.2

gathering in our new house. So it was a nice way to spend the afternoon,

2:28.4

but of course, and many of you will know this already, that when you host a bunch of people over at your house, it's not really just the lunch time that you're busy.

2:38.0

You're busy from the morning until the evening.

2:41.0

In the morning you have to do all the prep for the lunch and then in the

2:44.8

afternoon you're busy actually eating the lunch and socializing and hanging out and

2:49.9

then once your guests go home well then you need to clean up and clean the kitchen and clean the house and make sure that everything is back to normal.

2:58.5

So an event like that is really an all day event.

3:02.3

So about an hour and a half ago my wife and I finally finished

3:05.7

doing the dishes and then I took a little nap and I just woke up from my nap and I feel great and
