In this special BONUS EPISODE of Challenge Mania, Derrick (@DerrickMTV) and Scott (@SHOTOFYAGER) switch it up a bit and bring on someone who has never been on The Challenge. Davie Rickenbacker (@ITweetDavie) IS however a lifelong Challenge fan, and is one of the most well-liked contestants in Survivor history. With Survivor: Edge of Extinction premiering this Wednesday, February 20th, an hour before War of the Worlds airs on MTV, we thought it would be fun to catch up with Davie, discuss his time on Survivor, how he became a fan of The Challenge, what parallels and differences there are between the two shows and bounce back and forth between the two. For Survivor fans, this episode has tons of inside info on Survivor: David Vs Goliath, where Davie came in 6th place on what was regarded widely as one of the best seasons in the show's recent memory. For Challenge fans, this should still be fun, as Derrick gets introduced to a world he doesn't truly understand and Davie shares memories of his early time as a Challenge viewer and sheds light on the new format of War of the Worlds.

0:27.3	But before we get to our man, Davey Rickenbacker, he didn't come for me.
0:31.1	He came for D. So on the line right now, I think he probably has watched the least amount of survivor out of anyone who's ever interviewed someone who's been on Survivor.
0:38.9	Mr. Derek Zinsky, what's up dude?
0:40.7	Yeah, I only know one guy that was on Survivor.
0:44.4	Maybe I met a couple back in my day, but one guy I really knew and I hung out with many times.
0:49.9	And he was like one of the number one villain in reality TV, like 10 years ago.
0:54.9	His name is Johnny Fairplay.
0:56.6	And this guy Davey's nothing like him because if you guys remember Johnny Fairplay lied about his grandmother like dying.
1:03.9	Something crazy like that.
1:05.9	And I think it made him help them stay in the game longer, but everyone found out it was a lie.
1:13.9	So then he got into pro wrestling as a heel and I think he does a survivor podcast as well.
1:19.7	But really?
1:20.7	Yeah, yeah.
1:22.3	We won't take up too much your time with this intro because this is a bit of a bonus episode because we realize look I just want to give a little bit of a disclaimer.
1:30.3	You know, Davey is a lifelong challenge fan.
1:32.8	We do do a lot of challenge tie in a lot of challenge talk, a lot of parallels between the challenge which he's watched for years and survivor, which he's watched and also played on.
1:41.6	So, you know, we do do a little bit of that and getting their perspectives, Derek's and Davey, that is about the contrast between the two shows, how they're similar, how they're dissimilar in a lot of ways.
