What's more important in improv, raw talent or practice?

Now it just so happens and I was thinking about this yesterday that the three guys I have on today, I can't...

I constantly seek these guys advice all the time.

In fact, I can recall at least an email conversation or straight up conversation with all three of you in the last three months I think on different topics.

So let's have these three experts, former ADs, directors, and otherwise teachers.

Answer that question, raw talent or practice?

I have an opinion on that.

I think practice is more important.

I was gonna say the opposite.

Yeah, well you can practice all day long though and if you have no talent.

Well, you need a minimum amount of talent.

It's not a happy answer but the answer I think is raw talent.

Well, you can't teach, you can't teach a sense of humor.

Right.

But if somebody has like an amazing amount of talent and they just won't practice it, I have no discipline.

You can't, you can't.

It's like an amazing athlete who tries to play basketball but never like practices with his team or never does anything.
