This has got to be my favorite conspiracy theory or juxtaposition between reality and conspiracy theory

because the 15-minute city is something that I've like genuinely been hoping for for years and years.

I mean years ago I went around looking for like a vacation site and I did a search for cities

that ban cars in the center of the city because that's like a dream aspect of a good city is

somewhere I can go enjoy amenities so I'm not like in the middle of a field somewhere, although

that can be nice too. But a city where there are people in amenities and things to do but no cars,

that's like kind of my dream scenario and I went looking for that and it turns out people are

similarly dreaming those dreams. COVID lockdown spurred this idea quite a bit more and it's all sort

of consolidated in the idea of the 15-minute city. The idea being that you should be able to have

all the basic amenities and some frills within a 15-minute walk or bike ride from yourself

and that one of the aspects of helping that happen is by severely or entirely reducing traffic

within those towns and forcing traffic to go around. Like if you want to go through you can walk

you can bike do whatever you want but if you want to go through well then go around so then you

leave the center of the city available for pedestrians to have a much higher quality of life.

So naturally an idea that good can't help but be turned into a conspiracy theory which is that

this is like the United Nations idea probably using black helicopters as a callback to the 20-year-old

conspiracy that still hasn't come to fruition but you know one world government black helicopters
