Welcome everyone, just a quick note that today's episode is a rerun because I currently

have COVID for the first time, thankfully.

We avoided it for two and some amount of years but had made peace with the inevitability

of it long ago.

It has been strange though because we're basically reliving lockdown but alone this time.

We're in self isolation but the rest of the world is carrying on like normal.

It's kind of like those very rare instances when I stay up all night and it feels like

an extraordinary event but the next day no one else knows or cares and it's just going

about their lives as though something extraordinary hadn't just happened.

Adding to the strangeness of the experience we had groceries delivered for the first time,

we never even did that during lockdown.

And it may have been the most dystopian experience.

I've had since lockdown.

Not that there's anything wrong with having things delivered but not being able to open

the door while the carrier transferred groceries into boxes that we had left in the hallway

was very strange.

And there's even some sort of that frosted distorted glass, you know, like you'd see in a bathroom

or something like that, that is between our apartment and the hallway.

And so I could actually see a shadowy figure moving behind a sort of veil, providing us

with our sustenance.

It was like an art installation of the life of an Amazon warehouse worker or something

but very disconcerting.
