Hey folks, Randy Newberg here, COVID cough at all. Hope you're doing well. Today is the

0:09.7

first of our many bonus episodes that we're going to be doing over the course of the next

0:14.9

probably three or four months where we talk about how to draw tags, how to allocate your

0:21.1

budgets, allocate it smartly, and get the most out of the investment you make in these

0:28.3

non-resident tag applications that are a necessity of hunting out west. We always talk about all

0:37.8

these great things that oh we want to go do this, we'd like to go do that. And part of that

0:44.0

is you have to acquire a tag in order to go. And I'll be the first to admit, these western

0:51.6

states have some of the most complicated just elaborate schemes to part you with your money

0:59.3

in order to go hunting. And I wish it was different, but it's not. It is going to be this

way for a long, long time. So the more we understand it, the more we accept it, and the

1:14.0

more we kind of vote with our money, there are some states that just don't have the

1:18.6

value. So don't spend your money there unless it's just money to burn. Be smart and how

1:25.4

you do this. And to me that's an important part of what we're going to focus on because

1:31.0

I think a lot of people are under the impression that we just apply everywhere for every species

1:35.9

in that, not the case. Like here we're going to talk about Wyoming today. I dropped out

1:43.3

of the Wyoming point system for big horn cheap and moves back in 2007. And at the time,

1:50.3

I think I had seven points. And I just said, you know what? It's just not worth having

1:57.0

to pay $100 a year for a point for me and for my son, Matthew. I'll spend that money

2:02.9

somewhere else. And now a point there costs $150 plus a 2.5% transaction fee. And so

2:11.3

now it's a, it's a similar got to think about. But these application draw strategies, whatever

2:21.6

you want to call them. These are all brought to us by our great friends at Go Hunt. My

2:27.7

microphones making some noise on my zipper here. So I'm going to fix this. But the folks
