I'm going to give you the impression that I got from this and see if it matches up with yours.

And the reason that I would disagree with, you know, our esteemed friends, Jared Kushner and Nikolai Ladanov,

you can criticize this right now because what is on offer is a resort tech utopia built on Palestinian land where the Palestinians themselves are an afterthought.

The reason that they're starting with Rafa is because Rafa is going to be the place

where they cordon off the actual Palestinian population of this territory to live in

whatever housing units they build. And again, the offer is the plumbing's going to work, the sanitation is going to be good,

you're going to get food, you're going to have jobs in the resorts, you know,

all these things that we're building for everybody else to enjoy.

All of that's going to be available to you.

You're probably going to have to live in a compound under close Israeli surveillance and your freedom of movement may not be great. You're certainly not going

to be allowed to just kind of come and go as you would like, but we'll take care of you

economically to a point. And then the rest of the territory is turned over to the tech

bros and the wealthy people who want to go

and have a beach vacation. And that's the vision that's on offer here to me. Like, that's what I see.

I mean, I don't think you're wrong. I think that's certainly a very real possibility. I was talking to

an Arab official from one of the Gulf countries

who was there and asking him, like, you know, so what are you picking up from this that you

have not heard of before? Is there anything new that you're seeing in this? And this official

told me, look, the fact that they talked about this place being a home for two million Palestinians,
